On Wednesday, 22 May 2019, in the evening at 19:50, in Tauragės district municipality, on T. Ivanausko street near No. 96A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Insignia registered in France, an Audi A6 registered in Belgium, an Opel Zafira registered in France and a BMW X5 registered in Germany. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel Insignia, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.74‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
