On Sunday, 16 June 2019, in the evening at 22:22, in Vilnius, on Kirtimų street, at the junction with Granito street, a DAF FT XF105 registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the DAF (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.68‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
