On Monday, 17 June 2019, at night at 0:15, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on Plento street near No. 10, an Opel Signum hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 20-year-old pedestrian, who was walking on the carriageway where prohibited. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
