On Monday, 24 June 2019, in the morning at around 5:00, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 5, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 15-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.16‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
