On Thursday, 4 July 2019, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Kleboniškio street near No. 1, at the junction with Islandijos pl., a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Opel (8 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
