On Monday, 8 July 2019, in the afternoon at 14:25, in Utenos district municipality, on Kupiškio street, at the junction with Molėtų street, a BMW 730 registered in Netherlands ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
