On Monday, 8 July 2019, in the evening at 17:30, in Klaipėda, on Kauno street near No. 45, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel Insignia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.54‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
