On Friday, 19 July 2019, in the evening at 22:48, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Kuršėnai–Smilgiai–Aukštelkė regional road (kilometre 5), a BMW 318i hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 14-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized).
