On Tuesday, 23 July 2019, in the morning at 10:18, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Pandėlys–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 20.20), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra Sports Tourer and a Suzuki GSF 1200. Two people were injured — the 48-year-old driver of the Suzuki (treated as an outpatient) and a 44-year-old passenger of the Suzuki (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Opel (40 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
