On Tuesday, 30 July 2019, at night at 23:30, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Uosio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Corolla registered in Poland and an Audi A4 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Toyota (33 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.32‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
