On Thursday, 1 August 2019, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Vilnius, on Gedimino pr. near No. 9, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 36-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
