On Wednesday, 14 August 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Klaipėda, on Gedminų street, at the junction with Naujakiemio street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat, a Mini, a Skoda Yeti and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.47‰ blood alcohol).
