On Wednesday, 21 August 2019, in the morning at 10:46, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Tytuvėnai–Radviliškis national road (kilometre 38.10), a BMW 320D registered in Sweden ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet.
