On Wednesday, 21 August 2019, in the evening at 19:38, in Vilniaus district municipality, Čekoniškių village, on Adomo Mickevičiaus street, at the junction with Čekoniškių street, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80, a bicycle, a Bianchi and a bicycle. Two people were injured — a 19-year-old cyclist (hospitalized) and a 35-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Audi (40 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
