On Thursday, 22 August 2019, at night at 2:36, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Rudamina–Turgeliai regional road (kilometre 5.50), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and an Audi 100 Avant. Two people died — the 19-year-old driver of the Audi and a 22-year-old passenger of the Audi. Two people were injured — the 20-year-old driver of the Jeep (hospitalized) and a 18-year-old passenger of the Jeep (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Jeep (2 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
