On Sunday, 25 August 2019, at night at around 3:00, in Biržų district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 43, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.47‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
