On Saturday, 7 September 2019, in the morning at 10:17, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 166), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (35 years of driving experience), who violated traffic rules on motorways. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
