On Friday, 13 September 2019, in the evening at 18:35, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 80), a Mitsubishi Carisma hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He refused a sobriety test and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
