On Saturday, 14 September 2019, in the evening at around 20:00, in Neringos municipality, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo B12 registered in Russia and a Toyota Yaris registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volvo (35 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
