On Sunday, 15 September 2019, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vareikoniai–Panevėžiukas–Gaižuvėlė regional road (kilometre 1.32), a Peugeot 307 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Peugeot (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.70‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
