On Tuesday, 17 September 2019, in the evening at 19:40, in Kaunas, on E. Ožeškienės street, at the junction with K. Donelaičio street, a BMW 320 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.52‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
