On Thursday, 26 September 2019, in the evening at 19:59, in Šakių district municipality, Briedžių village, on the Šakiai–Plokščiai regional road (kilometre 6.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Renault, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (2.27‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
