On Friday, 1 November 2019, in the morning at 8:17, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr., at the junction with Pilaitės pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania and a Volvo S80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Scania (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
