On Monday, 4 November 2019, in the afternoon at 16:48, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Taikos al., a BMW 330 D hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 51-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
