On Monday, 11 November 2019, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Biržų district municipality, on Medelyno street, at the junction with Skratiškių street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant registered in Sweden and a Land Rover Discovery. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
