On Tuesday, 12 November 2019, in the afternoon at 14:39, in Vilnius, on Mindaugo street near No. 25, a Toyota Camry hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 77-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Toyota, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
