On Monday, 18 November 2019, in the afternoon at 12:02, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Vytauto street near No. 48, a Nissan Primera ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.80‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
