On Monday, 9 December 2019, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Naftininkų street near No. 17B, a Volvo V50 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 59-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
