On Friday, 27 December 2019, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on Medvėgalio street near No. 25, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Ford Fiesta. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
