On Saturday, 28 December 2019, at night at around 0:00, in Šiauliai, on Dvaro street near No. 79, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525I and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
