On Wednesday, 8 January 2020, in the morning at 7:56, in Vilnius, on Rinktinės street, at the junction with Olimpiečių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Volkswagen Passat CC. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
