On Friday, 10 January 2020, at night at 23:15, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Vėžaičių town, on Tilto street, on a bridge, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and a BMW 318. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Volvo (27 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. The 18-year-old driver of the BMW had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
