On Tuesday, 21 January 2020, in the morning at 7:44, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on S. Nėries street near No. 46, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene.
