On Friday, 24 January 2020, in the afternoon at 11:22, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 72), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi L 200 and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (34 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
