On Friday, 24 January 2020, in the evening at 19:02, in Jonavos district municipality, on Žeimių street near No. 13, a Mazda Premacy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 18-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 18-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Mazda (34 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
