On Monday, 27 January 2020, in the morning at 7:15, in Panevėžys, on Marijonų street near No. 33, a Toyota Corolla Verso hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 74-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Toyota (3 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
