On Friday, 31 January 2020, in the evening at 18:50, in Kaunas, on Trakų street, at the junction with V. Mykolaičio-Putino street, a Ford Focus C-MAX hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 17-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
