On Thursday, 6 February 2020, in the morning at around 8:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 11.50), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
