On Sunday, 9 February 2020, in the morning at 6:28, in Telšių district municipality, on Ežero street near No. 28, at the junction with L. Giros street, a Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CDI ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.82‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
