On Sunday, 9 February 2020, in the morning at 6:28, in Prienų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 114.10), a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 315 CDI registered in Ukraine rolled over. Two people were injured — a 46-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized) and a 48-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (20 years of driving experience), who was driving fatigued. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
