On Saturday, 15 February 2020, in the morning at 10:45, in Panevėžys, on Vilniaus street, at the junction with Margių street, a Volkswagen Caddy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 56-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 81-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
