On Friday, 21 February 2020, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Juragiai–Dievogala–Mitkūnai regional road (kilometre 7), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V40 and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
