On Saturday, 22 February 2020, in the evening at 22:35, in Biržų district municipality, on the Parovėja–Medeikiai–Nemunėlio Radviliškis regional road (kilometre 16.20), an Opel Astra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.92‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
