Drunk BMW driver runs off the road on the Ukmergė–Raguva–Nemėžis road
On Monday, 24 February 2020, in the morning at 9:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Ukmergė–Raguva–Nemėžis national road (kilometre 49), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the BMW (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.48‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
