On Friday, 28 February 2020, in the afternoon at 14:37, in Kretingos district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street near No. 1, at the junction with Turgaus a., a Saab 9-3 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Saab (4 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
