On Friday, 28 February 2020, in the evening at 21:30, in Vilnius, on Gabijos street, at the junction with Medeinos street, a Saab 9-5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Saab (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
