On Thursday, 5 March 2020, in the morning at 10:55, in Ignalinos district municipality, on the Molėtai–Kaltanėnai–Ignalina national road (kilometre 55.42), a collision with barriers occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH and a Benalu. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Volvo (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
