On Thursday, 19 March 2020, in the evening at 19:30, in Tauragės district municipality, Antšunijų village, on a bridge, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a Ford S-MAX and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Opel, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.75‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
