On Saturday, 2 May 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Panerių street near No. 132, at the junction with Demokratų street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a BMW 330D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.13‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 39-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (1.55‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
