On Saturday, 16 May 2020, in the evening at 19:50, in Klaipėda, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 17A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
